This white cocoon was hanging on the railing of the deck. Photo taken on June 14, 2012. We had been to China in April of 2012. Is it my imagination or does this cocoon look like a silk worm cocoon. I found this site VERY interesting silk worms The larvae like oak trees, liquid amber trees, etc. which I have in my garden. Also have a look at the green catapillar on page one. I am very tempted to try to find a source for these silk worms.
