Step 12 - As my pond is under a large, spreading plum tree I need to clean it out by pumping out the water and cleaning up the leaves and fruit that have fallen into it. I feed and clean up the lilies and other deep water plants at the time. The fish are hard to catch and suffer badly from this process, but the lilies do much better for the attention.
