Sedum spathulifolium - Broadleaf stonecrop - Invasive Species Council of British.
This very low-growing native sedum has dusky blue, purple, or red rosettes of spoon-shaped leaves, with bright yellow flowers in the summer months. The flowers attract butterflies. Extremely drought and heat tolerant, Broad-leaf stonecrop is a good choice for xeriscape and rock gardens. This also grows in the trays that are the edging on the pond, in place of the edging rocks. This plant is well suited to the drought we have been experiencing in the summers recently.
