This is the spring fed fountain in Aix en Provence The hot fountain of Cours Mirabeau, renamed the Mossy Fountain, was the first one built on the Cours in 1667. Its water is at 18°C. No one can be certain, today, how the fountain is decorated. Only the moss-covered rock is visible inside the basin, which used to be fed with spa water.
