2002 France

Day 15 – Aix en Provence -- March 01, 2002
We drive to Aix after breakfast. Pat drives through a warren of streets and parked right by the Tourism offce on the Cour de Mirabeau. The street is under construction and is all a mess. The big fountain is still there and the small mossy ones. We find a nice restaurant for lunch.
Day 15, 16 – Aix en Provence -- March 01, 02, 2002
After lunch we put more money in the parking meter and walk to St. Savior Cathedral. Carved 17th Century door, paintings, domed ceilings. The bapistry is of the Merovingian era (4th Century). Cloisters with carved stone pillars. To see the tapestry museum also – no pictures allowed. We are back to Pont Royal for our dinner.
We spend the next day in our apartment and grocery shopping for our dinner tomorrow night with the other Meehans.
