Page 10 – Waterford to Killarney
April 13 - More photos of the Japanese Garden from yesterday and our first stop at Dungarvan Bay. Our driver, Kevin, sings and tells jokes and Sheila has the most fun stories and jokes also. Dinner was terrific - pipes, drums and singing, dancing.
April 14 - Carhah Lake photo and misty Dingle Bay. Stories of fairies, banshees and leprechauns. Stories of Charlie Chaplin, Brendan the Monk, Wild Geese were Irish who were forced to leave after the Battle of the Boyne; they became mercenaries all over Europe. Stories of the potatoe famines (photo of ruins of a famine village, and of a fairy circle, ladies view photo at Muckross House) Back to Hotel, dinner and do post cards and a wee dram of Scotch.
