1998 Haida Gwaii

July 21, 1998 - breakfeast at hotel at 8:00 and over to the helicopter - 6 of us- 5 in the back and 1 up front. To the village of Skedans and walk through the forest to where old totems were lying around the old village. A talk to us by Linda was very informative, then back to hotel (15 minutes each way). We wait till 3:30 for the other groups to get back and then head off to Gray Beach. Lumpy, bumpy road for an hour and then apx 45 minutes to beach comb. Good sunny weather. Back to hotel. We had shopped earlier in the hotel. Book and bell (no candles). Dinner shortly after we got back. Good food. Duncan girls presented Les with our tip and card. For drinks with Bob and Donna after and then to pack and to bed.
July 22, 1998 - uneventfull flight home and seeing out the plane window. We get our taxi where the bus drops us at Romeo's again. Very hot in Victoria. They have been having a heat wave.
