The black bamboo has runners all over the front garden. I have been controlling it by cutting out
any places where it shoots up. I am contemplating having it reduced in size and have a barrier put around
the remaining canes. I have one of these offsets put into the cedar privacy hedge along the deck at the back,
but it is reduced to canes with no leaves, so it does not add to the privacy screening. If I add round up to
the place where I cut out any sprouts, they die and do not grow there again.
