photo of September 2020 of the huge black (gold) fish. Since the fish is still black it means that it is not yet 2 years old. How it got soooo big compared to the colored ones bought October of 2019 is a mystery to me. I can only guess that it survived the disaster of my flooding the pond with chlorinated water in August of 2019. I have read that the fish may not turn gold or colorful, if it is not getting enough light. From the size of it, it certainly was getting enough food. There are lots of smaller black ones in the pond also.
