I had Davey Tree guys take out the firethorn, and replaced it with the white pot full of erodiums. But it has now regrown from the stump. (August 2023). I have cut it back a bit and set firewood logs over the back of it next to the fence. I will probably have to cut it down again, as it is a prickly thing and it gets into the neighbours yard. I like to see the robins feasting on the berries around Christmas time though.
