Sometime in 2022 I replaced some of the edging rocks along the deck side of the pond with 2 trays of Sedum spathulifolium. The trays are tied to stakes so that they don't slide into the pond. There are boards placed under the EPDM beneath the trays to keep them level. The sedum is slowly filling the trays.
