Day 21 – Sens -- March 07, 2002
We check out and are on the road by 9:30. Overcast day. The vineyards disappear and we are into farming land as we go further north. We stop at Sens about 4:00 and find the Brennus Hotel, right down in the old town. This area has very old buildings. We walk around and see the Cathedral St. Etiene from the outside. I do not take many pictures as I think we will be seeing all this kind of architecture in Paris. We find a nice restaurant for dinner.
Day 22, 23 – Paris -- March 08, 09 2002,
We drive to Paris, find the ring road and the Renault dealership to drop off our rental car. More excellent driving by Patrick. We get a cab to our pre-booked hotel. We go out to explore and find lunch. At 7:00 we go out to dinner and find that most places don’t open until an hour later and people have their dinner even later than that.
March 09, 2002 – After breakfast we set off walking to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysses. We walk across the Seine. The buildings look modern compared to Sens and now I wish I had taken pictures in Sens.
