The Japanese lantern is not as yet settled to a good spot in the water garden. I hope to fit it into a place close to this spot where it originally sat. But it was covering the astilbes. There is the dry stream and the big mossy rock, yellow loostrife - a very good plant for a dark corner in the shade, backed by the cedar hedge. The lovely new heuchera is a nice discovery that grows in a corner of the viewing platform, just at the edge of the deck. The lovely little Japanese maple is the star of the show in summer. There is a view of the waterfall that will be renovated in 2021 with the new spillway, and hopefully another little rockery surrounding it. I will need to pay attention to cleaning up the debris in the moss and skimming the pond of debris, as well. And filling the pond in summer and keeping the moss area well watered.
