Vienna, Austria
Day 13, November 3, 2005
Vienna was home to many famous composers – Strauss, Mozart, Beethoven. The City just breathes ‘art and culture” to me. There are so many places yet to see in this City. I would need to spend at least a year to even begin to get a real idea of all there is to enjoy.
Belvedere Palace and many, many more.
Day 14, November 4, 2005
This is the end of one cruise, we find, and the beginning of another. Some people leave the tour at this point and others join us. There was a Captain’s farewell dinner last night. We settle our account with Uniworld and tender our gratuities up to this point in time. The services, food, tours and sailing have all been excellent. The weather was not too bad with still some Fall color to be seen in the trees. There was a lot of fog, but that is to be expected along the Rivers and Canals at this time of year.
Pat takes a walk in the afternoon, I stay in, read my Vienna book, and shoot a few ship interior pictures. At 8:00 we clear Customs and sail for Budapest. We pass Bratislava, Slovakia, on the way.
